Presenting the funds to the members at a brief ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Christina Kobinah explained that the amount is for the second quarter of 2015.
She said for the first quarter of the year, the Assembly released an amount of GH¢19,100.00 to twenty six members of the GFD within the Municipality, and assured that the Assembly would honour its duty of paying the Federation its share when funds are released.
The Municipal Financial Officer, Mr.Joseph Kwaku Adjei, advised the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously for the intended purpose.
The President of Tarkwa Nsuaem branch of the GFD, Mr. David Okyere, on behalf of the members thanked the Assembly for the gesture.
