The Innovation Lab, a research initiative at the Economics and Business Administration faculty of the Catholic University has launched a project to address the declining performance of the Brong Ahafo rural public basic schools.

An analysis of the information collected from the districts of the region has revealed that lack of teaching and learning materials is one of the major causes of the poor performance of rural public primary schools.
The project has been designed to specifically address the problem of lack of educational materials. Teaching and learning materials (chalk, books, pens, pencils, sanitation bins, registers, sports equipment, etc) will be freely distributed to 270 purposely selected rural primary schools from all 27 districts of the region.
The project has DKM Microfinance and Techiman Times as key partners.
According to Mr Edward Twum Anane, Coordinator of the Innovation Lab, the project will adopt innovative crowd funding strategies to raise funds to implement the project.
He appealed to individuals and organizations interested in sponsoring the project to call 0247471231 or 02663373217.
