An art exhibition about the exclusion of boys from conversations on gender equality has been held in Botswana’s capital, Gaborone, showing the work of a local artist, Boemo Lunga.
The exhibition, called “Shimie” is a solo exhibition with about 38 art pieces, including drawings and paintings.
Lunga said he wanted to express himself through art, and he would like to see both male children and female children treated equally.
While applauding Lunga for his efforts, Mosadi Seboko, Chief of Batele tribe in Botswana, said during the opening ceremony at Thapong Visual Art Center on Saturday that more should be done.
The Shimie Exhibition runs between June 19 and June 29. Enditem
