An Accra Central Magistrates? Court has remanded Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, aka Bulldog, an Artist Manager into police custody for conspiracy to commit crime and murder.

The accused person, whose plea was not taken, would re-appear on June 2.

Chief Inspector Kwesi Sakher told the court presided over by Mrs Mavis Kwainoe that the deceased was Emmanuel Fennac Okyere, the manager of Emmanuel Botwe popularly known as Kwaw Kese.

He said on March 13, the deceased was brutally murdered in his house at Manet Gardens on the Spintex road, and the body was conveyed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.

The prosecution said on March 17, the autopsy was performed on the body and the results showed that there was a stab wound and massive left haemothorax.

Chief Inspector Sakher said investigations revealed that the deceased and the accused person were friends and that their friendship started dwindling when the accused with his team organised a programme at Kwahu.

He said on the promotional flyer designed for the event, the name of Kwaw Kese, among other musicians, were billed to perform at the event and circulated online without the knowledge of the artists and his manager (the deceased).

?Dissatisfied, Kwaw Kese and the deceased confronted the accused demanding to know why he failed to consult them on the fee they will charge before posting the advert on online,? he added.

He said the accused pleaded with the deceased but he refused to accept the apology and insisted that he was going to sue the accused and the sponsors of the event.

He said this did not go down well with the accused and this started serious confrontations with the deceased on simple issues that could be treated amicably.

The prosecution said on December 25, 2013, YFM organised a musical concert dubbed ?Loud in GH? and that during the programme, Shatta Wale, who the accused manages, hijacked the show and over-performed to the displeasure of other artistes.

He said on March 12, information had it that the deceased received a call from an unknown person and he (deceased) was furious and shouting on the phone, telling the caller that ?You cannot do anything to me? only for the deceased to be found dead in his room in a pool of blood the next day.

Chief Inspector Sakher said after the death of the deceased, the accused stayed away from public events when he got wind of that he was being sought for.

Intelligence led to the arrest of the accused on May 15, and in his caution statement, admitted that he had a couple of issues with the deceased but denied his involvement in the murder.

Meanwhile investigations are ongoing to arrest the other suspects. GNA
