A musical instruments exhibition of Chinese brands held in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana, attracted about 1,000 people, who expressed interest to the instruments made in China.

The 3-day exhibition which ended Sunday, was hosted by Paradise Melody Instruments to introduce the musical instruments from China to Botswana.

Lynne Liu, General Manager of Paradise Melody Instruments, told Xinhua on Saturday that she is optimistic the affordable instruments from China can help nurture Botswana’s potential music talent.

According to Liu, prohibitive cost of instruments such as piano, has halted the music growth in Botswana.

“Most music instruments in Botswana comes from neighbouring South Africa and the prices are very high,” said Liu, adding that budding music industry in Botswana rely on ordering secondhand equipment from overseas.

Liu said she wanted to introduce good Chinese instruments of competitive prices for music enthusiasts in Botswana.

Lynn Taylor, a music teacher in Gaborone, expressed the intention to cooperate with Paradise Melody Instruments due to its quality instruments and affordable price. Enditem
