Apostle Kadmiel E.H. Agbalenyo, Founder and Leader of the Seven Day Church of Theocracy of Ghana has urged church leaders to encourage their members to donate blood to save lives.
He said it would be wicked on the part of Christians to see their fellow human beings die due to lack of blood and that, it was the responsibility of everyone to help save a soul through blood donation.
Apostle Agbalenyo gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the end of the church’s weeklong Feast of Passover celebrations at Homedakrom-Otiakrom, near Aburi in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region.
He said his congregation had donated blood to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital’s Blood Bank and the Nsawam Government Hospital on separate occasions as their contributions towards saving the lives of patients.
He said there was the need for Ghanaians to donate blood at least in every six months or a year and called on organisations, philanthropists and churches to organize their members to undertake such humanitarian venture.
Apostle Agbalenyo said his church members were preparing themselves for another blood donation within the year and urged on all to contribute their quota to build one nation.
