The Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has released the Oman FM presenter, Fiifi Boafo, on whose programme the MP for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong, made what is believed to be inciting comments.

Mr. Boafo told Citifmonline.com he presented the tape to the CID in the presence of his two lawyers – Atta Akyea and Freddy Blay.
Hon. Agyapong was arrested last Monday and detained until Thursday over comments he made on Mr. Boafo’s programme – National Agenda – that the police believe have the tendency to cause mayhem in Ghana ahead of the December elections.
He has been charged with treason felony, terrorism acts and genocide and currently on a GhC400, 000 bail.
“It went well and I didn’t feel intimidated,” Mr. Boafo said. “I told them I was only performing my duty as a journalist. I don’t know what happens next, but I have done my part.”
