The banned poultry products consisting mostly of turkey was located in a warehouse along the Warri-Sapele road in Effurun.

Comptroller of Customs at the Command, Sylvester Okpe who supervised the destruction of the products said that his men had gotten some information and gone to  the warehouse on Wednesday night.

He added that three suspects were arrested in connection with the illegal importation.

According to Okpe, the birds, which were destroyed at the Warri Ports, consisted 1,424 cartons with duty paid valued at N15 million.
