Mr Kwasi Aboagye, Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on all political parties, academia and governance institutions, to offer constructive and alternative policy options to government to help crystalise the socio-economic aspirations that the country yearns for.
He said civil society organisations and other major actors need to contribute ideas to serve as buffer for breaking into new arenas.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, Mr Aboagye said all actors should come on board and assist President John Dramani Mahama to administer the country with dispatch.
He said vile and unbridled criticism of government development programmes, projects and policies without offering constructive options ?was like going round a circus.?
Mr Aboagye said the destiny of the country lies in the little contribution of each individual, which should manifest in attitudes, ideas, discipline, respect, hard work and excellence.
On President John Mahama?s recent state of the nation address, the Regional Chairman said its content was explicit and believed to shore up the country into a real middle income status.
Mr Aboagye urged the people to spare the President for intermittently introducing humour into his address, stating that strictly going by the script would engender boredom during the period.
?Interspersing humour into public speech discourse is historical and asking the President?s critics to get busy constructively and add to the development space than take away,? the chairman alluded.
He said the ?Better Ghana Agenda? is rolling out, according to plan in the region, except for some few agitations, which are being doused. GNA
