Nigerian afrobeat sensation Davido has ventured into the tech world with the launch of his own social media app, Chatter.
Announcing the news on his official X handle last Friday (12 July), Davido disclosed that he co-owns the application with his close friend Sir Banko.
Describing Chatter, the musician explained that it is a social audio-visual utility platform designed to connect content creators with a vibrant community, providing a platform to amplify their voices.
This marks Davido’s third internet venture in the past eight months. Earlier, he introduced his cryptocurrency, $Davido coin, which faced criticism and scepticism from cryptocurrency enthusiasts shortly after its launch.
The music star’s move into tech underscores his expanding interests beyond the entertainment industry despite the challenges faced by his previous crypto venture.
