Defender John Boye is confident of injury return
Black Stars defender John Boye is hopeful he will be fit in time to join Ghana?s pre-Nations Cup camping in the United Arab Emirates.
The 25-year-old center-back suffered a right thigh injury while in action for Stade Rennes against Troyes in early December.
Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has named the enterprising center-back in his provisional 26-man squad for pre-tournament camping in the Dhubai.
Boye is yet to begin training at Rennais but he however remains optimistic that he would gain fitness in time to join Ghana?s camping base.
?I?m making steady progress and I?m confident that I will be ready for the AFCON,? the former Heart of Lions defender said.
Boye was one of Ghana?s best players at the 2012 Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
