Speaking to Ghana News Agency, Deputy Superintendent of Police Christine Srofenyoh, Madina Unit Commander of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service, said the incident happened three years ago at Nyamekrom, a suburb of Pantang Village in the Greater Accra Region.
DSP Srofenyoh said the culprit was taken his bath and therefore ordered the girl who was by then with another child to wait in a kiosk which belonged to him.
She said the girl and the child laid a piece of cloth and were sleeping in the kiosk and do Ademan took advantage and gagged her mouth with a duster and covered her face with another piece of cloth and forcibly had sex with her.
After the act Ademan took a knife and threatened to kill her with it is she informs her parents
A week later the parents noticed that their daughter could not walk and questioned her but refused to disclose the cause.
It was after three months when she was really in pain that she disclosed the ordeal to a neighbour who then informed the mother.
When her underwear was inspected her vagina was exuding a puss with nauseating smell.
Ademan, who was sensing danger, left his wife and three children and travelled to an undisclosed destination.
The parents of the victim reported the case to DOVVSU, and he was apprehended at Abomosu.
Currently the girl’s waist and right leg are paralysed and so cannot walk without the aid of her parents and sympathisers.
According DSP Srofenyoh the suspect is being processed for court.
