Demised GCB Bank bullion van driver buried

The mortal remains of the GCB Bank bullion van driver, killed in a robbery attack at Asukesu, near Mamikrobo Junction in the Afram Plains South, had been buried at the Nkawkaw SDA Church cemetery amid outpouring of grief by his colleague workers, friends and family.

David Sarpong, died of his gunshot wounds, when two suspected serving police officers and one other person, ambushed, shot through the van and hit him in the eye.
The incident happened on August 17.

Mr. Desmond Tutu, the Nkawkaw branch Manager of the Bank, led tributes at the funeral, describing his death as a terrible loss.

He said the deceased was hard working, respectful and showed strong commitment to duty.
Pastor Isaac Fred Boateng of the Eastern View Ghana Administrative Unit of the SDA, who officiated the burial service, asked the mourners to be comforted by God’s abiding promise to the righteous.
They should remain unwavering in their faith and continue to do things to positively affected the lives of others.
