He continued that business operators are incurring more cost of production as a result of the power outage and therefore making companies lose their business contracts or international clients.

According to him the situation is very disturbing because it affecting each and every individual with some industries or companies losing 40% of its capacity in a single year because of power outage (dumsor).

“It is a very serious matter that we need not to do politics with because citizens are suffering and losing jobs. We need to put partisan politics aside and work together to achieve perfect power supply in the country. If anybody comes out that he can solve the problem soon or by close of the year, that person will only be saying that to score political points.

Such a person will be doing no good to the country. That person knows very well it cannot be fixed in just some few months so he won’t be telling us the truth. Because I have always said that the country need a minimum of 4 additional years before we can resolve the problem.

We have people who work on the generation, transmission together with ECG who does the distribution of power into our homes and offices facing a lot of problem that has to do with modern equipments and other matters that is affecting their productivity” Dr Nduom stated.

He revealed the country needs billions of cedis to work on the situation so if leaders won’t be bold enough to tell citizens the truth so as to have enough time to work on the problem then we will be doing the country no good.

He said government need to be transparent and truthful to the citizens and shouldn’t be making promises they themselves know they can’t fulfill within a shortest possible time.

He urged president Maham to be more transparent on our energy crisis and get the right people to work. “For the country to have a good energy or power supply, government needs time, money, and faithful patriotic leaders who will work for us to solve the current problem” he said.
