They are Mr Maxwell Kudekor (Regional Chairman) and McAnthony Dagyenga (Regional Secretary) went into the elections unopposed, to retain their respective positions for the second term, which is a three-year mandate.
The Regional Vice Chairman and Treasurer positions were not contested.

Her Ladyship Justice Mrs Gifty Dekyem, Supervising High Court Judge of Eastern Region, administered the oaths of office in her chambers at the Koforidua High Court complex.

Addressing the media, Mr Kudekor was hopeful that by the end of their term, the proposed press centre for the region to be situated in Koforidua would be completed to further boost media activities.

Already, the GJA has acquired land at a prime area in Koforidua for that purpose.
