Enterprise Life a leading life insurance underwriter in Ghana held its annual Broker heads Interactive session over the weekend dubbed the ?Broker Heads Retreat 2014? at a plush resort in the Eastern region of Ghana
The two day session which was held under the theme, ?Excellence of the soul- Harnessing relationship for excellent performance? saw the gathering of the cr?me da la cr?me in the insurance brokerage industry.
The objective of the session was to discuss activities for the year, foster and build stronger partnerships as well as reward brokers with attractive prizes for their efforts made towards improving life assurance penetration in Ghana.
Speaking at the first part of the session on the topic Managing Strategy to achieve Competitive Advantage, Sidney Casely- Hayford, a management consultant and facilitator at the event, was quoted as saying that, ?successfully growing a business is often dependent upon a strong competitive edge and gaining competitive advantage over our competitors.?
George Otoo the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Enterprise Group and Chairman for the occasion took the opportunity to express his gratitude to partner brokers for their significant contributions to the insurance business.
Life business still presents the future of the industry, and it is only a matter of time when the life premiums will overtake non-life, Otoo stressed.
The increased level of involvement of brokers in the distribution of Life products, and the roles of brokers is very critical to the insurance industry as a result of your larger reach, Otoo said.
Brokers were urged to use the forum to share ideas, provide feedback with regards to current trends, with the aim at improving Enterprise Life?s product offerings and that of the industry as a whole.
Our collective efforts at growing the life business will impact on the national penetration, there by impacting on the lives of Ghanaian families, he added.
