Enyimba pip Warri Wolves

Six-time champions Enyimba defeated Warri Wolves 1-0 in a friendly to prepare both sides for next weekend?s league kick-off.
The explosive game was played at Sapele Stadium and brought out the best of both sides.
Both sides tried to score but couldn’t until the 86th minute of the encounter when Ndubuisi Ekwuribe drafted into the team from Enyimba feeder team broke the deadlock with a superb goal to beat Okemutie Odah in goal for Warri Wolves after going past a defender.
Enyimba forward Chimezie Amanfor said that the game lived up to its top billing and it has put his team in the right frame of mind ahead of league opener at home against Enugu Rangers on Saturday.
“We thank God for the victory. It will motivate us more. Everybody in the team is hungry to play not as individuals, but as a team. This victory will help us more as we face Rangers in league opener,” Amanfor said
Wolves goalkeeper John Dosu said that it was a good match-up.
He said, “It was a very good game, both sides played well but I was thinking it will end in a draw but they eventually scored.
?We are ready for the league considering the way we have played in pre-season.?
