German-born Ghanaian Erich Berko Signs Stuttgart Pro Contract
German-born Ghanaian winger Erich Berko has signed a professional contract with Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.
The club announced that the promising prospect extended his stay at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena to 30 June 2015.
He made eight appearances for the club until a tearing an anterior ligament injury in his knee back in September.
Berko spent a lot of time on the on the sidelines with his last appearance on 1 September, 2012 as a second half substitute at Preussn Munster.
?Erich really convinced us with good performances and attracted attention before his cruciate ligament injury. Now he has survived his injury and all opportunities to start again,? Stuttgart?s head of Youth and Scouting Ralf Becker said.
Berko, 18, has been playing with the Stuttgart reserve side since 2006.
