A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Henry Manly Spain has stated that those who might be aggrieved with H. E. President Mahama?s Nominees to the office of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) position should restraint themselves and be patient.

According to him, there are structures through which such grievances could be addressed rather than choosing their own ways of dealing with the issues.

?I think the supports on the grounds need to be spoken to and to be well informed in order not get themselves into activities that does not augur well for the party? he stated.

He said those involved in the agitations need to know how processes works so they need to be patience enough to allow peace to prevail.

He made these statements in an exclusive interview with our paper recently at his office in the Tema Metropolis.

He said ?they must to be focus with choices that were being made; though the person might not be their choice, the person might be the rightful person for the job?.

He asked the NDC party executives need to intervene in the areas where there are challenges so as to resolve it amicably.

?The President has the prerogative to appoint or remove the person from the position? he noted, adding that those involved in the agitations should be relax, be concern and have patience with the President.

He said there are executives in those places where there were challenges so such grievances could be channel through the party executives.

Mr. Spain condemned the mode in which those aggrieved individual are using to convene their displeasures to the President?s nominees.

He noted that the NDC party?s and National interest should be key irrespective of their disagreement so person?s nominated by the President should be allowed to prove themselves so as to judge them after their term office.

He noted that after the person?s term of office then one can judge whether the person was good or not since 4 years would soon come for their assessment of the person.

?I might like somebody but the President knows best and why he is nominating the person so we need to hold on and see the choices that are being made by the President?, he opined.
