Checks indicate that some foot-bridges which were constructed by government to save lives and also ensure the free flow of traffic are steadily turning into refuse dumps for nearby residents and users of the foot bridges.
A visit by Today to these bridges in the Central Business Districts and other parts of the Greater Accra region showed the bridges littered with rubbers, papers, left-over food among others.
The usage of the foot-bridges at Avenor, Nima and Taifa left much to be desired with the bridges being deserted.
Residents were spotted preferring to use the main highways, which was at the peril of their lives.
