Whilst the people of Ghana are clamouring for a time where the attainment of a free universal education will be feasible, with its Senior High School system be made free in fulfilment of the constitutional provision, the?? Rev. Minister ?of the Trinity? Presbyterian? Church? at Mampong? Akwapim in?? the? Eastern?? Region?? Rev. Daniel? Owusu Ansah? has?? expressed his happiness for the inability of the free?? Senior?? High? School? Policy?? of the? New? Patriotic?? Party? (NPP) coming to fruition.
According to the Reverend Minister, the free SHS policy if implemented will be an avenue for parents to abandon their responsibilities of catering for their children?s educational needs and put the entire burden on government alone.
He made these remarks when he was addressing a congregation at Mampong? Akwapim? during?? the children?s? day? celebrations?? of?? the? church.
The? Rev. Minister?? also mentioned that parents? would?? take?? the opportunity?? to reproduce? more with?? them?? having? the? intension? that government?? will? take??? the?? care? of their?? children?s? educational? needs.
He??? therefore?? seized?? the opportunity to advised children?? not?? to think?? about?? free education because it would not be possible and will never come.
Reverend?? Daniel?? Owusu? Ansah?? encouraged parents to rather work hard to meet the educational demands of their children rather than focusing more on free SHS education.
