CourtYawson?s new wife, Esther Quansah, who was in the dock with him, is being held on the charge of marriage with a person previously married.

Yawson and Esther have pleaded not guilty and the court had admitted them to a bail of GH? 6,000 with two sureties each.

The court presided over by Mrs Rita Agyeman Budu after listening to the defence counsel of the accused persons, referred parties to go for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Prosecution said early this year, Roland went with some family members to contract a customary marriage with Esther, a 30 -year- old nurse at Aburi in the Eastern Region.

After the marriage, prosecution said Esther joined Roland as his new wife. Later the complainant had information that Roland had contracted a new marriage and they were living together.

During investigations, ASP Acquah said it came to light that Roland and Esther started dating since 2011 while Esther knew that Roland was legally married to the complainant, yet went ahead to marry him.
