Portal Globo.com, a Brazil News Agency has revealed that the Black Stars lives are in serious danger at their Palace Hotel in Brasilia.
The News Agency has attributed the live telecast of Black Stars? $3m World Cup appearance fee which was flown via a chatted flight for the danger.
It confirmed its assertion with the presence of criminal bandits in Brazil, notorious for attacking people and bank vans with cash.
A chartered flight from Accra landed in Brasilia at 20:00 (local time) last Wednesday and with police escort, the U$ 3million (approximately U.S. $ 6.7 million) was transported to the team?s camp.
The players were captured few hours after the arrival of the hard currency going into one of the hotel rooms in turns to sign for their monies ($100,000 per player).
The transportation of the money was shown live on TV Globo.
