The two justices are among 12 high court justices implicated in the judicial corruption scandal in addition to 22 magistrates and judges and judicial service staff.

They are the first two justices of the superior courts to be removed since the scandal broke.

The judges were accused of taking bribes to set accused people free and rule in favor of those who paid bribes.
Ten justices of the High Court remain under investigations while three are in court challenging their impeachment procedure.

In a related development, another High Court judge, Justice Ringo Cass Akurugu Azumah, has been removed from office as a Justice of the High Court on grounds of stated misbehavior and incompetence. Enditem
