Dissappointed Zambia coach Herve Renard concedes Ghana were the much better side in Group D and deserved to progress in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars beat the Chipolopolo on Friday to make it through to the playoff stage of the qualifiers for next year?s World Cup in Brazil.
A 72nd minute strike by Nathan Sinkala served only as a consolation after Zambia conceded a goal in each half from Abdul Majeed Waris and Kwadwo Asamoah respectively.
The Chipolopolo camp had instigated a war of words ahead of the match played in Kumasi as they swore to beat the Black Stars and scuttle any hope of a third successive World Cup appearance.
But the Chipolopolo failed to live up to their own expectation per their words though fairly domination the Ghanaians who proved to have too much quality and experienced to see out the game before their expectant crowd.
Zambia?s French coach who was an assistant trainer of the Black Stars during the reign of Claude Leroy some few years back expressed his disappointment for losing the game but says the Black Stars deserved to progress.
?I?m disappointed but Ghana is a better team than us and they deserve to go through,? he said after Friday?s match.
Ghana is now through to the final stage of the qualifiers haven won Group D with 15 points ? four more than Zambia after six rounds of matches.
The Black Stars will now await a CAF draw later this month to know their playoff opponent as they look to make a third successive World Cup appearance.
