This, he said, was the way forward to achieve progress and rid the society of greed and corruption.

He was delivering the sermon at the start of a nine-day prayer and fasting meeting of the church in Kumasi.

Attended by over 800 members from across the various area branches, it is being held under the theme “Unlocking all gates to your full potential”.

The goal is to ask for God’s guidance for the leaders of the nation and the continued blessings of peace and prosperity.

The Rt. Rev Adofo counseled against arrogance, selfishness and all acts of immorality.

He used the occasion to remind Christians to provide the needed leadership to purge the society of everything evil, promote genuine reconciliation and forgiveness.

They should become good example to others in their communities, he added.

He also encouraged them to remain prayerful and steadfast in their faith.

He underlined the need to strengthen the church’s evangelism to bring salvation to more people.
