Ghana’s Isaac Dogbe stopped Jessie Magdaleno in the 11th round to win the WBO super bantamweight crown on Sunday.

Dogbe recovered from a first round knockdown, the first time in his career, to churn out a masterful performance to beat the title holder at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, USA.

Dogbe, 23, knocked down Magdaleno once in the fifth round and twice in the 11th round to win the bout, becoming Ghana’s youngest ever boxer to lift a world boxing title in the country’s rich boxing history.

He becomes Ghana’s eighth world boxing champion and ended the West African nation’s six-year title drought.
