After several negative comments in the media about gospel musician Gifty Osei for the somewhat inappropriate dress she wore on stage at the just gone by Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), the “Fefeefe” singer has finally come out to apologize.
She has been accused of not wearing a bra on stage to the biggest musical event in Ghana which was also live on GTV and GH One.
Even though she did not comment directly on whether she had a bra on or not, the “Gospel artist of the year” winner, has apologised to all her fans and Ghanaians in general who may have felt bad by her costume at the VGMA which came off at the Dome on Saturday April 14, 2012.
In an interview with Accra based Asempa FM, she explained that her intention was not to go semi-nude as some people claim.
“I sincerely apologise to all Ghanaians including my fans for appearing like that on stage, I want to assure them that it will not happen again,” she said.
She explained that she chose that dress because she always want to look good as a way of appreciating God’s Grace and Blessings in her life.
Gifty who is also the wife of a man of God, added that she is not discouraged by the feedback she received.
The sensational gospel musician came out with her first album “Aseda” in the year 2009 and won the hearts of many Ghanaians. She has since appeared in many gospel shows with enthralling performances.
She is married to the head pastor of Blessed Generations Ministry International, Pastor Prince Osei, with two beautiful daughters; Princess Ann Araba Yakoba Osei and Princess Femi Osei.
She also won the award for “Gospel album of the year” at the VGMA 2012 industry awards on Monday April 9, 2012.
Gifty, however, promised her fans more great gospel songs now that her hard work in spreading the message of God by way of singing has been acknowledged with two awards.
