By:?Bampoe DanielDr Owusu Agyekum, Administrator of the Presbyterian University College, Agogo Campus in the Ashanti Region- has urged Private Investors and Organizations to established business for University Graduates to be employed in order to earn their daily livings, so that there will be an Unemployed Graduates Association in the country in order to keep the growth of the country?s economy.
According to him, the government alone can?t create avenues for all Ghanians; especially those completed the Tertiary sector with skillful training who is seeking for white color job and that cant stabilized the economy growth, because the country must invest in people to creates jobs and provide national security through the government and investors.
He averred that many University Graduates goes to the job markets every year, but couldn?t get qualified work to do, which is increasing poverty rate, low productivity and high rate of unemployed.
Dr Owusu made these known to the paper by stating that most students from the Presbyterian University College especially Agogo Campus alone comes out every year with good results and perform their best at any fields they are been placed to render services for the people of the country but don?t earn enough salaries due to economy stable by the influencing of jobs creations unavailable for others to do.
Also the most challenges confronting the College is that most Parents and Guardians don?t pay their wards fees, where as the Institutions has owed debts from Students over GH cedis 1000 which has seized the Institution to upgrade its projects and appeals to parents to pay their wards fees.
He further express that the College is confronting a lots of challenges such as financial crisis, hostel facilities, Bungalows for Lectures to stay on campus, hiring of buses for students by appeal for help from NGOs to help the college to achieve it aim.
And finally stated that most disturbances issue is that most Students don?t participate programs such as Agric, Mathematics and Business among others, due to know avenues created for such students who completes these courses to worked on and govt alone can?t do all for us, and suggest Investors should also creates jobs for the unemployed too.
