He is an Ambassador Extraordinaire of Ghana Prisons, an award conferred on President John Dramani Mahama.

The award was in recognition of his contribution to the project: “The Deplorable Conditions in Ghana’s Prisons.”

Mr Kwarteng has successfully founded the Crime Check Foundation, crime prevention NGO as well as the National Stop Crime Campaign in Ghana.

He also introduced on Ghana Television, the first ever Prison Series, “Time with the Prisoner” – a one-on-one interview where prisoners share their experiences and advise the youth to desist from crime.

He works within the penal system advocating for individuals, who find themselves imprisoned for crimes they did not commit.
