The shedding of power by the Electricity Company of Ghana is said to have affected not only the various households in the country, especially Accra, but the performance of the Government agencies as well.

Residents of Adabraka, a suburb of Accra, one of the areas severely affected by this load shedding exercise have described the exercise as a failure of the NDC Government?s promise of the Better Ghana Agenda and are therefore calling on government and the ECG to institute measures to remedy the situation or they will advise themselves come Dec. 7.

Speaking in an interview with? The Moment, the residents complained that they have been sleeping without lights for over a week now, a situation they said invites criminals and armed robbers to the area. According to them, the exercise embarked upon by the ECG has caused a lot of damages to their properties as well as their businesses, and have threatened not to vote in the upcoming election if the situation is not rectified before Dec.7
