The IT-Marketing Limited, an electrical appliance company, on Friday presented a 30KVA power plant to the Detective Training Academy (DTA) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS).
The gesture was in response to a plea put in by the Service.
Mr Joseph Andoh, the Head of Technical Unit of the Company, who made the donation said, the GPS as a partner in development had to be supported on that course.
He said his company was supporting the GPS from time to time to enable it deliver quality service to Ghanaians and promised that the company would continue to support the Police Service.
Commissioner of Police (COP) Mrs Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah in receiving the gift thanked the company for the gesture saying the plant would be useful, especially when regular maintenance, were being undertaken.
COP Addo-Danquah said the plant would be enough to power all the appliances at the Academy and pledged that it would be used for the purpose for which it was intended.
“We are so grateful, this is enough and we would not try to be Oliver Twist but when the need arises, we will come back for help,” COP Addo-Danquah added.
