The Nigerian Civil Defence Corps in Jigawa state has sounded a vehiment warning to fuel dealers to desist from the old business of storing up fuel to cause scarcity so as to make extra gain.
The commander Mal. Muhammad said the warning became necessary particularly at this time of Chrimass when some bad persons try to make extra money to the detriment of the poor masses. He said his command is working day and night in the state to apprehend those who store up petroleum products. Anyone caught would not be spared.
According to him, people should learn to be contented with the little God blesses them with. Hiding things to sell at a time when its not available he said is “Haram” that is forbidden in Islam and against the law of the country. He said they have the mandate to bring to book those in that business.
The commander calls on the citizens of the state and other states as well to always report bad eggs and activities in their areas to his officers who are ready to work come rain come sunshine.
