Referee Lamptey has over the years remained Ghana’s leading referee having officiated at the last Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand recently.

Kenya won the first leg by a lone goal and will be counting on that to overcome highly rated Cape Verde to advance to the next stage of the competition.
