Christians have been asked to set their life as a living testimony of the life of Christ for the world to emulate, but not to allow the world and its material gains to drag them from the principles of life as taught by their master Jesus Christ.
The District Pastor of Christian Life Fellowship Int. Prophet Justice Osei Sarkodie who gave the advice at a sermon in Agona Swedru over the weekend pointed out that instead of dragging the world into the church Christians have allowed the desires of the world to take the better part of their life, making people to cast doubts on them and the Christian fate.
He mentioned occasions like Christmas and New Year which he said should be observed as a period for the sober reflection of the birth, crucifixion, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, and not a period for merry making as is being done by Christians nowadays.
He expressed regrets about the situation and said it is now time for Christians to rethink the way of celebrating such occasions to redeem the religion from ridicule.
