LMVCA cleared by court to proceed with demonstration

The police went for an injunction preventing pressure groups LMVCA and Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) from picketing at the EC office on 29th September, 2015.

According to the police, the EC office is a security zone area hence the groups should use a designated route to present their petition to an appointed EC official.

However, the group disagreed and took the issue to court.

According to David Asante, Convener, LMVCA, when they went to court today, they were given the green card to picket at the EC office.
