Manchester United 3-1 QPR: Highlights

0

After United had gone close on more than one occasion to an opener in the first half, seven minutes after the break QPR struck. Kieron Dyer had a shot saved by Anders Lindegaard from a narrow angle down the left, but the ball parried straight to Mackie who applied a finish from close range.

The lead would last just 12 minutes, though. Danny Welbeck headed a left-wing corner down and inside in six-yard box where Evans showed more determination than the defenders around him to get his head to the ball and power it home from barely two yards out.

There was little surprise that the game soon swung inexorably in the home side?s favor. United took the lead for the first time just four minutes after pulling level as Darren Fletcher scored his first goal since returning after a long absence through illness when he headed home anther corner from Wayne Rooney.

And three minutes later the win was secured. Two substitutes combined in fine fashion as Anderson picked out Hernandez with a precise low pass into the box and the Mexican showed his lethal instincts once more as he took a touch before side-footing low past Julio Cesar from 12 yards out.
