Ex Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah has recommended his assistant, Maxwell Konadu for the national team manager’s job, ahead of the afcon 2015.

James kwesi appiah who was sacked as Ghana?s coach after the afcon qualify against togo on Thursday appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Ghana’s Brazil 2014 debacle.
Kwesi Appiah minced no words when question by Commissioner Justice Dzamefe whether he thinks Maxwell Konadu is good enough to step into the big role should he get the nod from the Ghana Football Association who are still searching for a replacement following the termination of his contract earlier this month.
“He?s proven his potential, he took Kotoko to win the league and I also went with him as assistant to win the All Africa Games gold as well as working as my assistant for the past two years with the Black Stars. I personally believe that given the chance, he can do a very good job,” Kwesi Appiah replied.
Appiah worked with Konadu with the Black Meteors who won a historic gold medal at the 2011 All Africa Games in Mozambique before they climbed the ladder to the Black Stars job during Appiah?s tenure.
Konadu since has been installed as stand-gap coach following the dismissal of Appiah but Coach Appiah did not explicitly respond to rumours he has accused Konadu of backstabbing before the commission.
“We worked for two years (Black Stars) and I never had any problem with him. We also worked together with the Black Meteors and we won gold in Maputo, never did we have any misunderstanding with each other,” Kwesi Appiah explained.
