Mayor of Kumasi resigns

The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Kojo Bonsu, has announced his resignation.

Mr Bonsu, in a signed statement, said he had communicated his decision to the President.

He thanked President John Dramani Mahama for giving him the opportunity to serve his country.

ba42a642-08cb-4029-92de-9450b8d24e10He also expressed appreciation to the Asantehene, the KTC, staff of the Assembly and the people for their support and cooperation.

“I am happy at the strides made in the area of peace and development as well as the enduring legacy recorded during the period.”

He added that he wished the government well and pledged to give off his best to ensure the re-election of the President.
