?Power corrupts absolutely and absolutely power corrupts? the saying is now true with this government otherwise how can an ordinary man just for the sake of? having his brother working at the seat of government frustrate a neighbor and go Scot free?
Since this government of President John Dramani Mahamah, took office from January 7, 2012, many people have complained of unnecessary frustrations, attacks, threats on their lives and properties by goons and gangs professed to be the followers of the president or his aides and no one seems to stop that.
The recent demolishing of structures on a track of land ordered by the veteran soldier General Arnold Quaynor, the demolishing of structures by the Tema Development Corporation and a host of others in Accra and other parts of the country without recourse has raised a lot of concern among the general public.
A few days ago, our investigative team received a complaint from another resident in Dansoman SSNIT FLATS who is suffering from excessive frustration by another tenant who is doing everything possible to make life unbearable for him in his own house so he can either eject from the land or die as a result.
Mr. Frimpong Manso and his family, who lives in a self contained house in Dansoman SSNIT FLAT behind KRISVIEW HOTEL, in a complaint issued and signed on September 20, 2013 to the managing director of state housing company limited of which a copy has been forwarded to us, complained of frustration and harassment at the hands of his neighbor Mr. Samuel Segbefia, owner of Krisview Hotel in Dansoman.
They complaint that, there was a change in the State Housing Corporation toposheet which mistakenly allowed a second change on the cite plan of Mr. Samuel Segbefia?s clamming ownership of the disputed common access road thereby denying him and his family a complete entry into their own residence.
Our investigative team followed up in an undercover mission and our lenses captured scenes and events which can be best described as horrible, terrible and better still hell being handed to the Frimpong Manso?s by Mr. Samuel Segbefia?s family and the Hotel.
As we got to the scene, it was discovered that the walls of the hotel has been extended to cover the portion of the land that both Mr. and Mrs. Frimpong and their neighbor Mr.Samuel Segbefia both used as access road therefore denying the former entry to his residence.
A horrible scene of all residual waste such as empty cartoons of chicken scales of fish, filth intestines of goat, empty debris of food carrier boxes, polythene rubbers with scanty scents were clearly seen along the entrance of Mr. Frimpong.
Rightly in front of the main entrance to Mr. Frimpong?s house are four big refuse containers placed there by Mr. Samuel Segbefia which the debris of waste coupled with unhygienic nature of the debris pose a serious health threat to the family and the community at large.
Scattered broken pieces of bottles, blocks and other waste cans on renovation works carried almost everyday as investigation revealed makes passage to Mr. Frimpong?s House very inconvenient.
What makes matters worse as was discovered was that a flock of dogs like animal farm scattered along the entrance, making it impassable, particularly for the children of Mr. Frimpong attending school as well as incoming visitors.
After all these spectacle witnessed by the team of investigators, the big question that came to mind was what are the SHC officials doing about this problem? Do we have competent health inspectors in the country at all? And where is the freedom and justice if an individual can take another persons freedom and liberty away from him by abusing power?

According to the complaint as Mr. and Mrs. Frimpong Manso made available a copy to our investigative team, as regards to the peculiar layout of their respective plots for many years, they shared a common access road with their neighbor Mr. Samuel Segbefia as the boundaries between the said properties has not been officially demarcated [Ref our Lawyers Letter of 12/12/2012].
