The competition themed “MTN Business, your total Enterprise ICT partner of choice” was part of MTN’s 20th Anniversary celebration.
The Golf tourney drew golfers from the various golf clubs across the country, which also created an opportunity for them to network with fellow Chief Executive Officers and decision makers in the Business Community.
In the Men’s division Group A, Amenyo placed first ahead of Ekow Nyako’s 68 score and Patrick Tender, who scored a net of 69. Amenyo walked home with an IPhone 6, a trophy plus Mtn 4G Wifi as his prize.
Chris Aidoo won the Men’s Group B category with a net score of 67 followed by Joe Dadason 70 and Owusu Adjapong 73. Aidoo took home a Huawei G8, trophy and MTN 4G Wifi.
In the Ladies Group Mona Captain topped the group with a score of 72 to take a Huawei G8 Phone, trophy and an MTN 4G Wifi whilst Gladys Awuni came first in the other ladies’ category. She received a Samsung A7, 4G MTN Wifi and a trophy as her prize.
The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana Asher Yaqub Khan congratulated all the golfers for a successful tournament.
He said his outfit will thrive to develop the sport and make it popular in the country. “At MTN, we value the relationship developed over the years and we hope to continue this on the Golf course.
“I do not play Golf but my experience here today tells me that Golf is a game for highly skilled and organized enthusiasts. MTN also sees it as a channel to engage our cherished stakeholders and build stronger relationships with them’’. He emphasized.
The Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club expressed gratitude to the telecommunication giants for sponsoring the tournament.
He said golf is not for the old and bourgeoisie alone, adding that, such views held by many should be discarded. ‘‘Golf is not only for the old or rich. The sport helps you to exercise, which is healthy for the body and for everyone.’’
