MTN Ghana on Wednesday launched the “MTN Eazaifon” to support the activities of the small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs).
The Eazifon, a fixed wireless terminal, is a great alternative to the traditional land-line fixed phone, and comes with the properties of a fixed phone.
The innovative device is to ensure that these SME’s remain connected to their customers and business associates in real time.
Mr Sam Addo, General Manager, MTN Business, speaking at the launch in Accra said the device is available in three variations including the Eazifon plus with extension, Eazifon corded and Eazifon cordless.
“You have the option to purchase the Eazifon at a go or pay monthly fees under a postpaid contract,” he added.
He said for the fixed monthly fees, the device offers the customers a bundled package with many fantastic features, including free SMS monthly, free closed user group calls between Eazifon existing and new users and postpaid lines and extra handset and extension that could be used in the home or in small office.
Mr Addo said as a leading network in the country, the company considered it as a duty to develop product offers that are relevant to the SME’s and promote their sustainability.
He said the role of the SME as a key engine of economic growth, creating employment and driving income growth could not be overemphasized.
“Just like a regular mobile phone, you can top up your Eazifon any time you run out of credit although it is a postpaid service,” he said.
He expressed the hope that Eazifon would transform the way SME’s and individuals conduct their business activities.
