As the brouhaha of what so many people would now like to address as the Uwajumogu-gate continues, it will be worth doing if I should take a look to the contending issues once again as the whole saga has taken up an interesting and totally new dimension this time around. Having written two pieces of articles on this matter before which I basically dissected the character and person of Mr. Samuelson in the first article and his portrayal of credentials as social crusader and anti-corruption activist which I likened him as a false and self serving kind of anti-corruption champion as I studied his unflinching contradictions in accusations and inconsistency with factual analysis.

Having dealt with those issues and as the whole saga has taken up another dimension when the Imo state house of assembly after its plenary on 27th march, 2014 constituted a 6 man committee to look into the allegations levelled against the leadership of the house by Mr. Samuelson Iwuoha, a former aide to the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Ben Uwajumogu which brings us to the nitty gritty of this article.

Not too long ago and quite recently, the reading community of Imo state was thrown into pandemonium and uneasy panic when an entangled and ?disgruntled former aide of the serving Speaker of Imo state house of assembly made some mind burgling and astonishing accusations (or was it revelations?) Of corrupt practices in the office of the speaker after he was sacked for going against the ethics of his office. The accusations was given some publicity in the local tabloids, online media blogs and national newspapers, in his widely publicised articles, Mr. Samuelson accused the speaker of fraudulent activities and made a passionate appeal that the Speaker should set up a probe panel to prove his allegations. But it was however surprising that the same Samuelson who had ab nitio clamoured for a probe panel to be set up was also the first person to condemn the probe panel constituted by the Speaker when the speaker in his usual characteristics attitudes of heeding to the calls of his subjects set up a 6 man committee to look into the allegations of Samuelson. Mr. Samuelson was heard on so many platforms making jests of the committee with derogatory remarks on the leadership of Imo State house of assembly.

Citizen Ikenna Samuelson, the disgraced former media aide to the Speaker blew up a trumpet alleging that office of the Speaker was involved in massive corruption, that the office of Speaker has allegedly manipulated awards of road contracts, that state funds running into billions of Naira were diverted and used by Speaker Uwajumogu just immediately after when Samuelson was issued a query over misusing his office to fight his perceived political enemies for his own selfish political gain and some financial mapractices of public funds meant for advertories etc. Samuelson was later sacked after he took undue advantage of his office in blackmailing his political opponents.

When the whistle of the news of the constituted committee was blown to the ears of Samuelson, he was heard scampering for safety as he was unsure of his allegations and was making all manner of mischievous comments suggesting the inability of the probe panel to deliver, according to him,it is a”kangaroo/April fool panel” which in is his prejudicial views, he thinks the committee was made up of the cartel members of the speaker. Of a truth that the committee members are fellow house of Assembly members with the Speaker, it will still be the same members that is going to conduct the probe panel, why much ado about it? like a friend of mine asked rhetorically, who was Sameuelson expecting to head or constitute as committee members if not the honourable members? Or was Samuelson expecting himself to come and head the committee? Instead of Samuelson to prepare and face the probe panel and public inquisition to clarify issues and clear the air over his corruption allegations against the office of the speaker, he ran berserk in insulting and vilifying the constituted authorities of the honourable house.

As Samuelson had alleged that there are, according to him “eye popping” corruption practices going on in the house of assembly and office of the speaker, is it not left for him to appear before the house probe committee in public with evidence of how, where or when these corruptions has taken place? To make proof of his cleanliness and honesty rather than running and hiding and be making derogatory statements against an honourable house? Why then is Samuelson who has alleged so many things and caused an unpardonable uproar running and hiding when the house probe committee had been constituted and would soon invite him to come and ?prove or testify? Is it not an evil man with a guilty conscience that runs when no one is pursuing? This disdainful acts of Samuelson has again proven true to life facts with the shady hide and seek activities of Saint Samuelson.

Suffice it to state that It is not enough for Samuelson to rush to be hurling out kangaroo press releases to prevent the committee’s questions or using some narcissist online mushroom media outlets as his mouthpiece to feed the gullible public with mutilated press releases and hide from the public and the committee’s inquiries. The unmistakable fact still ?remains that Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha has a huge case to answer and also a lot of allegations to prove! The public is yet to receive answers and clarifications from many of his allegations and claims! He still owes a lot. And no amount of running and hiding behind fake Press Releases speaking through some mischievous online media outlets will deter the public from holding it against Samuelson even in many years to come over the criminal allegations he made against them (because the honourable members are the mandates of the people) which are still unproven.

I must commend the leadership of Imo state house of Assembly as ably led by Rt. Hon.Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu for once again proving his critics wrong and the resolutions of the honourable house to make the probe panel open and public which added an unwavering credibility of the would-be result/s of the committee as transparent as it would be supervised and passed through the glaring binoculars of the public watch. For giving the mushroom and malicious allegations of disgruntled Samuelson this attention leaves much to be desired by discerning Imolites, as worthless allegations as it is which is well known that it was ?nothing but the calculated attempt of the false accuser to smear and malign the office and character of the speaker, by giving it this undue relevance in the state has proven your penchant to corruption free regime of Imo state house of assembly and this singular acts should be commended by well meaning Imolites.

Conclusively, I want to advise that this probe panel committee must go on with their work in unravelling the numerous allegations of Mr. Samuleson as against the wishes of the covert and overt actors of this orchestrated media blackmail that the speaker should go and settle it out of the public domain, it must be said that the public is now fully aware and following up minutes by minutes of the proceedings of this saga and any attempt to scurry off this probe panel will create the wrong impressions on the person and office of the speaker. In this fight of integrity, the people and sober social critics like me are solidly behind the speaker and we must see to its end. I don’t fight a battle that are lost or won against me, I fights against social injustice and for the right courses and have always won all the battle I goes onto, it is my sincere believe that we all that are on the right part of justice will marvellously rejoice and come out triumphant on this fight of justice and truism.
