Story: Gogo Gorden Amoah
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party ?Nana addo Danquah Akuffo Addo who made a stop over at Oyarifa as part of ?his restoring hope tour in the Ga East Municipality said ?free secondary school education is achievable and this will happen from september 2013 after he has been declared as the president of the country.
After taking time to address the over crowded audience, Nana started mocking the ruling National Democratic Congress for preaching an ideology of social democracy and yet practicing elitism.
Nana Akufo-Addo told the chiefs and residents of Oyarifa, ?Teiman, Panting and other sub chiefs who all trooped to the community centre to have an encounter with him .
According to the NPP flagbearer, the NDC has consistently shown that it is against pro-poor policies.??They opposed the NHIS and now they are opposing the free SHS as well,? Nana Addo told the enthusiastic IPS students.
He said social justice requires everybody to have access to secondary education, a pledge his party will not renege on when it is voted into power.??He charged Ghanaians not to listen to the pessimists who he said are tapping into the elitist system of governance whilst still professing to be social democrats.
Nana Addo said Ghanaians must remain solidly behind the NPP who has a track record of delivering on their promises.
