The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN, has described the N21.27Billion campaign funds raised by a broad spectrum of Nigerians for President Goodluck Jonathan reelection bid as a mark of the acceptability and popularity of the President by Nigerians, noting that the amount cannot be questioned considering the huge followership and support base he commands in all the six geo-political zones of the country.

TAN an Abuja-based international Non Governmental Organization (NGO), in a statement which was made available to newsmen in Awka yesterday noted that observations from its zonal rallies across the six geopolitical zones where Jonathan’s popularity and acceptability among Nigerians was demonstrated to the fullest, it was then no surprise to hear that his supporters easily willingly donated To his campaign expenses.

The statement contends that TAN has empirical information/evidence on the overwhelming support the President enjoys across genders, age bracket, class, social and political divide especially for his mild/peaceful leadership disposition among the people. Because it was the group that raised a massive followers and supporters numbering more than 17 million adult citizens who endorsed Mr President to seek reelection within 90 days.

TAN noted that “going by our records, supporters of Mr President if adequately sensitized and mobilized can donate much more than the said amount raised at Abuja for the presidential campaigns expenses…”.

The Statement however gave kudos to the donors and called on all Nigerians to support the reelection of Jonathan and ensure that they obtain the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to enable them vote for him at the poll next year.
