Namibia food program benefits 85,000 school children

A total of 85,000 learners are registered in a school feeding program in Namibia, an education official said on Tuesday.

The program is aimed at making sure that the children do not get hindered by hunger while they are attending classes, said Sanet Steenkamp, executive director at the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture.

She said the ministry is hard at work to register more children for the program, especially in rural areas. Enditem
