The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) asserted on Saturday, August 24, that the party boasts an unparalleled record. However, he claimed Ghanaians have been misled about its achievements.
Addressing the launch of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium of the University of Education, Winneba, the Communications Officer criticized the current administration for allegedly undermining the state of the country inherited from its predecessors.
“The NDC has unmatched track records,” he emphasized.
Kwame Agbodza, the Minority Chief Whip, detailed that the 2024 manifesto will target several critical issues, including corruption and job creation.
He emphasized that the document addresses the challenges the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) posed.
“The manifesto will focus on corruption, state capture, and job creation, which are of great concern to every Ghanaian,” Agbodza told TV3.
The launch event, attended by NDC Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and other notable figures, including members of the National Executive Committee, the Council of Elders, Members of Parliament, and Parliamentary Candidates, was designed to present the party’s vision for Ghana’s future.
Distinguished guests from the Diplomatic Corps, Clergy, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Labour Organizations, and the Creative Arts were also present.
A statement issued by Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer, outlined that the event would feature various speakers who would address the NDC’s vision for transforming Ghana.
