The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will later today hold its final rally at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium in Accra to climax all political activities of the party ahead of voting on Wednesday December 7, 2016.
General Secretary of the NDC Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia told Lantam Papanko on the Ultimate Breakfast Show that the party has properly propagated its message to Ghanaians adding that the final rally is only meant to consolidate the message.
He revealed that thousands of party supporters and party bigwigs are expected to attend the event including National Executives, the Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama, the Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur and some founding fathers.
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday also held its final rally at the Accra Trade Fair Centre which was heavily attended with party executives indicting that the NDC has panicked considering the numbers that showed up.
Political pundits however indicate that final rallies by political parties cannot be game changers for elections in view of the fact that the minds of voters are already made up as to which party and candidate they are voting for and who they are not.
The country’s two largest political parties, the NDC and NPP are claiming they are best placed to win Wednesday’s polls because they each have the best policies and programmes for the country.
