Adepoju brace sinks Nembe City

Taofeek Adegoke scored twice as 3SC defeated Nembe City 3-1 in a Nigeria league Week 16 game at home on Wednesday.

3SC now have 22 points from 15 games, while Nembe City have recorded 23 points from 16 games.

3SC coach Hakeem Busari told that he was happy with the result against an experienced Nembe City.

“It was a good game and I am happy won, it was an easy game because Nembe City have a lot of experienced players who have seen it all in the league,? Busari said.

?We did our best to earn the victory. Nembe are good side who could go places going by the calibre of players they have.”

Taofeek Adegoke, playing his first game this season, drew the first blood in the 46th minute and completed his brace in the 61st minute to give 3SC a 2-0 lead.

Nembe City fought back and pulled a goal back in the 76th minute through Okiki Musampa, but Gabriel Adikwu dashed the new boys? ambition of getting a point when he extended the home team?s lead to 3-1 with a 81st minute strike.
