Nigerian security forces uncover plot of attack on northern state

Nigerian security forces has uncovered plot by the some terror groups, the ‘SaraSuka’ or ‘Masu- Shara’ to attack northwest Kaduna State on Sallah day.

Boko HaramThe Coordinator of Kaduna State Security outfit, Colonel Yakubu Yusuf (Retd) who raised the alarm said though security operatives had been placed on red alert but cautioned residents be vigilant during the period.

He also warned residents against accommodating or harboring strange fellows as the Boko Haram terror group had changed their tactics of attacks.

Specifically, the coordinator urged parents to guide their children against being ready recruits for the Boko Haram sects.

According to him, places mapped out for possible attacks by the terror groups are worship places, recreation centers, parks as well as highways.

The security chief warned residents to be security conscious before, during and after the celebration.
He also said security operatives were being tasked to be more proactive in the areas mapped out by the terror gangs for the attacks.

At least 26 people, including children, were killed from a blast in northern Nigeria’s Kaduna state last Tuesday.

More than 15,000 people have died and nearly 1.5 million others have been displaced since Boko Haram launched its brutal insurgency in northern Nigeria six years ago, according to the United Nations refugee agency. Enditem
